🚨 BIG NEWS! 🚨 We’re thrilled to share that Unseen Arts C.I.C. has secured £587,741 to kickstart the transformation of our historic home at 6 Auckland Road on Grimsby Docks into a Community Arts Centre. Thanks to Historic England & The UK Government (£437,741) and North East Lincolnshire Council’s PSiCA scheme (£150,000), The first phase of our redevelopment is fully funded and ready to go! This capital will deliver essential heritage repairs and core internal works- making the whole building safe, watertight, and ready to use. 💡 What to expect from Unseen Community Arts Centre: 1. A welcoming community art café with a performance stage ☕ 2. A fully equipped ceramics studio and maker space 🏺 3. Improved performance and artist studio facilities 🎭 4. We recently received planning approval for a scheme of four self-contained 1 bed flats on Castle Street in the East Marsh of Grimsby. The scheme has been designed on behalf of Doorstep @grimsbydoorstep who offer housing and support to young people aged 16 to 25 years old in North East Lincolnshire. The project employs modular building components and the design and construction methodology has been developed with BlokBuild @blok_build .
