The Kasbah area of the former fish docks in Grimsby has an important collection of warehouse and commercial buildings many of which are in a poor state of repair. The area forms a Conservation Area and many of the buildings are listed. Historic England are funding the refurbishment work to bring buildings back into use with the intention of establishing a ‘creative industries quarter’ whilst also respecting key heritage and architectural features such as smokehouse cowls.
