Princes Gate, Grimsby
Our proposal is a contemporary design, which not only provides a vibrant and vital mix of commercial space, apartments and townhouses, but also reinforces the grain of the existing built environment.
The development has a strong built form addressing its three outward facing boundaries. It is hoped that this scheme is complimentary to the comprehensive scheme design for the redevelopment of adjacent sites in Cartergate.
The apartments are orientated to take advantage of the south-west orientation. Both the south-east and north-east corners of the site facing Cartergate are enlivened by large corner-turning bay windows.
The scheme was the subject of a "development team" meeting attended by representatives of planning, conservation, highways, archaeology and economic development and was given a good degree of support prior to receiving planning approval in December 2006.
