Garth Lane, Grimsby

The Garth Lane project represents an opportunity to revitalise a number of listed buildings, clear away some lesser quality structures and create a ‘landmark’ building. All this on a site at the heart of Grimsby with further potential to contribute towards a wider urban regeneration.

The site area is approximately 0.31 ha (3100 m2), there are four listed buildings on the site which are to be retained alongside a new 13 storey elliptical tower. The scheme comprises 87 flats, office / studio space and commercial uses (bars, restaurants) on the ground floor.

We believe our proposals for Garth Lane represent a sound design approach, forging a link between planning and detail design to produce better living environments.
The opportunity for a contemporary landmark structure as a continuing building legacy and an appropriate refurbishment of historic listed buildings will be a credit to the town and help in the much needed process of urban regeneration.
