Market Hall, Crowle
We were appointed to undertake a feasibility study for the North Axholme Community Enterprise Group (NACEG). The study will respond to suggestions made as part of a community consultation exercise and will focus on the existing listed Market Hall, adjacent buildings and market square with the aim of promoting community enterprise in the area.
The Market Hall fabric will be repaired and the proposed uses within the hall are loose fit to allow the existing large spaces to remain. A new build element is linked to the hall via a bridge. This building is a deliberate intervention within the square. Whilst it is made of traditional materials and aims to be a good neighbour in terms of scale and form it is a contemporary building. This building will reinvigorate the market square and allow the local community to repossess this vital space.
Contract Value: £1.7 million
