Pinefields, Healing

Pinefields is a detached bungalow situated on the edge of Healing village, North East Lincolnshire. Hodson Architects were appointed to design a new extension for the house.

A number of outbuildings and the existing workshop utility, boiler room, wc and conservatory to the south of the bungalow were demolished. The new extension housing a new entrance, draught proof lobby, utility, kitchen/dining area, plus garage and workshop is built to the south and the east of the existing bungalow.

The extension has a slate roof and rendered walls to match existing. The draught proof lobby and utility acts as a 'link building' between the garage/workshop bungalow highlighting the new entrance with the overhanging lead roof. A pergola forms a sun-shade to the living areas on the south and west elevations of the bungalow.
