Live/work houses

Nettleton Road, Caistor

The proposal is for 4 new detached live/work eco houses on a site located behind no.46 Nettleton road, Caistor. The site is bounded by an open field to the west and back gardens to all other directions.

The proposed site layout shows the houses designed in pairs and served by a new access road and north east facing entrance courts. The houses are spaced so as to accept low winter sun and the main glazed elevation faces south or west to overlook the private garden space.

'Lean, mean and green' sustainable principles are followed to achieve high quality energy efficient houses, which incorporate low technology solutions such as heavy thermal mass, super insulated structure, natural ventilation, etc plus heat stores and photovoltaics.
