Hodson Architects were commisoned to design a new house on a site currently used as a car parking area to Castlestead house. The brief called for a contextual house that responded to its site, topography and in particular the views to the bridge over the River Wharf.

The new house is appropiate to the setting, contributes to the varied streetscape of Boston Spa, and respects the scale of the neighbouring buildings.

The new house is designed as a family home, with ecological and sustainable concerns at the forefront.
