Franklin College
Learning Centre
Hodson Architects were commissioned to undertake a campus masterplan and as part of the first phase of works, the library has undergone major refurbishment and renamed the Learning Centre.
Access to I.T. has been increased by incorporating a first floor mezzanine level linking to the ground floor with a new staircase.
Informal seating and study areas sit alongside more formal study desks with bookstacks incorporated onto walls and free standing shelves.
The entrance area has opened up with large glazed screens, improving access and visibility to the Learning Centre.
Completion September 2011
Value £500,000
