Revised Scheme

Lonsdale Community Centre, Hull

This proposal focuses on the necessary upgrading and extension of Lonsdale Community Centre. The centre has been running since the mid-1980's and provides vital services and facilities for the inhabitants of this West Hull District.

The new scheme uses a simple palette of good quality materials, brickwork, metal cladding and glazing to produce a piece of contemporary architecture.

The proposed extension is a two-storey building providing additional accommodation, stair access to all parts of the building and a new entrance and

double height foyer.

The new extension will provide:

Entrance foyer with informal meeting area and reception.

A cafe, kitchen and staff W.C.

An informal meeting area overlooking the foyer below.

Computer room.
