As an ARB (Architects Registration Board) and RIBA (Royal Institute of British Architects) registered practice we offer a full range of professional services from initial client consultations and feasibility studies to producing the building design, administering contracts and overseeing works on site. We are also members of The Association for Environmentally Conscious Building and Constructionline.
Hodson Architects was formed in 1992 and as the workload has increased and diversified a consistency of quality has been maintained.
We are a small to medium sized practice operating in an open-plan office where each member of staff becomes aware of the current status of most projects. Our Practice Policy document sets out our attitude to Health & Safety, Environmental and Equal Opportunities matters. Currently we are working towards ISO 9001 certification which we hope to have in place by March 2012.
We place great emphasis on working closely with contractors and craftsmen in an effort to maintain the architectural quality of the works on site. The practice is also noted for its economic methods of construction and diverse but appropriate use of materials.
At least one of the partners is responsible for each of the projects, overseeing and checking the quality and consistency of the work. Both the ARB and RIBA Codes of Conduct and Architects Job Book and the accompanying ‘Green Guide to Sustainability’ are used as standards guides to delivering quality design and buildings.
